Building a Complete Forex Trading Plan
Practical, hands-on course to design, test and iterate a repeatable forex trading plan. You will define an edge, write precise entry/exit rules, backtest honestly, forward-test on demo and run a trade journal — then iterate like a pro. Part of FX Academy's structured learning path; expect deliberate practice and validated results, not shortcuts.
What you'll learn
- Document a complete forex trading plan that states your edge, timeframes, and rules in plain language.
- Calculate pip value and size positions so a stop-loss equals a fixed % of account (e.g. 1%) using: position_size = risk_amount ÷ (stop_pips × pip_value).
- Write unambiguous entry and exit rules (signals, stop, target, time-based filters) and set trade-level R:R.
- Backtest a strategy honestly (manual or automated), measure win rate, expectancy and max drawdown, and compute statistical significance.
- Design and run a forward-test on a FREE demo account, track at least one pre-defined sample size, and create clear go/no-go criteria for scaling.
- Build and maintain a trade journal that produces actionable metrics (win rate, expectancy, profit factor, max drawdown) and a dashboard.
- Iterate strategies with hypothesis-driven tweaks, walk-forward testing and rules to avoid overfitting.

Is this course really worth paying for?
Every Forex Fluency course is a deep, structured program — long-form fact-checked lessons, fully worked numeric examples, diagrams and end-of-module quizzes. At $130 it costs less than one impulsive, uneducated trade typically loses.
How do I access the course after paying?
Checkout takes a minute. Once your payment is confirmed you receive an access code by email — enter it on the My Learning page and every lesson unlocks instantly, forever.
Do I need a trading account first?
No. You only need a free demo account for the practice exercises, and we show you exactly when and how to open one — no deposit required.
Will this course make me profitable?
No honest school promises that. Most retail traders lose money; education, risk management and disciplined practice are what separate the minority who succeed. This course gives you that foundation — the results depend on you.
Is it self-paced?
Completely. Lessons are written, not scheduled — read them any time, on any device, and your progress is saved as you go.
